Activating Units

When you first receive your new Triton 2, you will need to activate it. This registers the unit as a part of your team and allows you to pair it with an athlete.

Activating units is one of the very first steps in preparing to start swimming with TritonWear once your order arrives. 

Units can be activated from any compatible browser on a laptop or desktop computer, or from the TritonWear app on a tablet or mobile phone.  Here are the instructions for each: 

Activating from a Browser or Tablet

  1. Navigate to TritonWear from any supported web browsers, or open the TritonWear app on your tablet.
  2. Click your name in the top right corner of the screen, select Users & Units from the dropdown.
  3. If you are inviting a new user at the same time as activating your unit, click the Add New User in green in the upper right corner of the screen, and follow the prompts.  
  4. If the user you want to pair with the unit has already been invited, find them in the list of users and click Add Unit on the far right from their name. 
  5. In the box that pops up, type in the 4 digit number written on the back of the unit (XXXX in the image below) and click "Add".

  6. The message will immediately change to one of the following:
    1. If the activation is successful you will see a success message and a big green check, close the box and head to a tablet or mobile device to do a firmware upgrade
    2. If the activation is unsuccessful, you will see an error message indicating what went wrong, and the option to close or retry. Take note of the error and either adjust the input number or contact support if you are not sure what to do next.
  7. Once you receive a success response, move on to the next unit to be activated, or if all done adding units head over to start updating the firmware.

Activating from a Mobile Phone

  1. Ensure your phone is connected to a stable internet connection, and Bluetooth is enabled.
  2. Open the TritonWear app on your compatible iPhone or Android phone.
  3. Navigate to the Users page. To do so, click the menu icon (3 horizontal lines) in the top left corner, select Settings - Devices - Unit Management.
  4. Tap the + icon in the top right and turn the unit on
  5. In the box that pops up, if your unit number doesn't automatically populate, type in the 4 digit number written on the back of the unit (XXXX in the image below) and click "Add".

  6. A message will immediately appear across the bottom of the screen with one of the following:
    1. If the activation is successful you will see a message indicating the unit has been added to your team. The number field on the screen will clear and you can add another unit or tap the back arrow in the upper left to return to the devices screen.  
    2. If the activation is unsuccessful, you will see an error message indicating what went wrong, and the option to close or retry. Take note of the error and either adjust the input number or contact support.
  7. Once you receive a success response, move on to the next unit to be activated, or begin pairing your units with athletes
