How to Activate Your TritonWear Units

Before your team can hit the water with TritonWear, you’ll need to add your units to your account. This process connects each unit to your membership and gets everything ready to assign to swimmers.

📲You can do this from your phone, tablet, or browser, but just a friendly nudge, the mobile app is way easier. We’ll show you both options.

Quick Navigation

Use the links below to jump straight to the section you need, no scrolling required.

Before You Start: Who Can Add Units

Heads-up (this one’s important)

Only the person who purchased the membership can add units, and they need to be logged in with the same email used during purchase.

If that’s not you, you won’t see any memberships listed, which means you won’t be able to add any units.

If someone gave you a unit, check with them to ensure it’s already been added to their account and assigned to you before you try using it.

Step 1: Go to the Account Management Page

This is the central hub where you’ll manage all your Triton units and Heart Rate monitors.

On the app:

  1. Open the TritonWear app on your phone or tablet

  2. Tap the Triton unit Triton Unit icon. You’ll find it at the bottom of the screen on a phone, or the left-hand side if you’re using a tablet.

On the web:

  1. Head to app2.tritonwear.com and log in

  2. Click the Triton unit Triton Unit icon on the left-hand menu.

Either way, you’ll land on the Account Management page, your hub for adding, assigning, and managing your devices.

Step 2: Understanding Your Membership Breakdown

Memberships status

Right at the top of the page, you’ll see a breakdown of your unit memberships:

Pending
Units you’ve purchased but haven’t added yet

Unassigned
Units you’ve added but haven’t assigned to a swimmer

Active
Units that are both added and assigned to a swimmer

Total
The total number of unit slots in your membership

So if your Total is fourteen memberships, and you’ve already added three units (Active + Unassigned + Pending), that’s your cap. You’ll need to remove one before you can add another.

Option 1: Add Units from a Phone or Tablet (Highly Recommended)

If you’ve got a compatible phone or tablet, the app is the fastest and easiest way to go.

Skip to: Activating from a browser

Here's how to do it:

  1. From the Account Management page in the app, tap Add a new unit
    Add units
  2. Make sure Bluetooth is on and all your units are turned on too. A pop-up will appear, and scanning for nearby units will start. Once the scan finishes, you’ll see a list of available units.

    Scan units

  3. Tap Select All (or pick the ones you want).
  4. Tap Activate Units.

You’ll see a little summary at the bottom of the screen showing how many memberships you have left and how many units you’re adding. Super handy.

Once your units are successfully added, you’ll see them listed on the page, one per card. That means they’re in and ready to assign to swimmers.

Option 2: Add Units from a Browser

Return to: Adding units from a phone or tablet

Still working from your laptop? No problem. You can add units from there too; it's just a bit more manual, but it still gets the job done.

  1. On the Account Management page, click Add a Units

    Web - Memberships - Empty
  2.

Type in the 4-digit number found on the back of each unit

    T2 Back

  3. Repeat until you’ve added all the units you need

  4. Once they’re all listed, select them and click Activate Units

Web - Memberships - Add unit manually

No Bluetooth here, so you’ll need to type in each one by hand. But the end result is the same.

After your units are added, you’ll see them in your list as individual cards. From there, it’s easy to assign each one to a swimmer right on the same page.

Troubleshooting Common Issues

If something goes wrong during activation, you’ll see an error message explaining what happened. It could be:

  • You’ve run out of available memberships

  • A unit is already linked to another account

  • Bluetooth wasn’t able to detect the device

Try scanning again, double-check your available slots, or contact our support team if you’re still stuck. We’ve got your back.
