Activating Units

Each new Triton unit must be activated by adding it to the purchaser's account. This registers the unit to the active membership, allowing it to pair with an athlete.

Activating units is one of the very first steps in preparing to start swimming with TritonWear. 

NOTE: Only the original membership purchaser can activate units from the email address used to purchase the membership. If you did not purchase a membership with your email address, you will not have any memberships reflected on your account, so you will not be able to add any units. If you have received a unit, please check with the person who gave it to you that it has first been activated and assigned to you. 

 

Each new unit will require a firmware update before it can be used for the first time.

 

Activating from a Phone or Tablet

Skip to: Activating from a browser

  1. Open the TritonWear app on your compatible tablet or phone.
  2. Click the Memberships icon Triton unit from the left side menu
  3. Turn on all units to be activated
  4. Tap on "Add a new unit" either next to TritonWear units, or if no units are available to assign, from within the units section message.

    The following pop-up will appear and begin scanning for nearby units

  5. Once the search is complete, a list of units available to be acticated will appear, select the first one to activate and tap add unit add unit search result
  6. The message will immediately change to one of the following:
    1. If the activation is successful, a success message will display, and the unit will show up in the available units section behind the pop-up.
    2. If the activation is unsuccessful, an error message will display indicating what went wrong and the option to retry. Take note of the error and either adjust the input number or contact support if you are unsure what to do next.
  7. Once the unit is added successfully, you have 2 options:
    1. Select a user from the list to assign the unit to (the people in the list are those you are connected to via your teams). If there are more units to activate, tap add another, if not tap finish. add unit success
    2. skip assigning the activated unit, and move on to activate another, or if no more available, tap finish.

Activating from a Browser

Return to: Activating from a phone or tablet

  1. Navigate to TritonWear from any supported web browser on a computer. This will not work from a browser on a phone or tablet. 
  2. Click the Memberships icon Triton unit from the left side menu
  3. Tap on "Add a new unit" either next to TritonWear units, or if you no available units to assign, from within the units section message.

    The following pop-up will appear (if it doesn't, make sure you do not have pop-ups blocked on your browser).

  4. Type in the 4 character code from on the back of the unit (XXXX in the image below) and click "Add".

  5. The message will immediately change to one of the following:
    1. If the activation is successful, a success message will display, and the unit will show up in the available units section behind the pop-up.

  6. Once the unit is added successfully, you have 3 options:

    2. Skip assigning the activated unit, and move on to activate another, or if no more available, tap finish.
