Activating Heart Rate Monitors (HRMs)

Before your swimmers can wear their HRMs and get all those lovely Heart Rate insights, you’ll need to add them to your account. Here’s how.

First, log in to the TritonWear app on your mobile phone or iPad.

⚠️Heart Rate Monitors (HRMs) can’t be added on desktop.

From the main page, tap the Triton unit icon Triton unit (found in the blue navigation bar)and open the Account Management page. This is your home base for managing all your devices, including your Triton units and HRMs.

❤️ TritonWear only supports the Polar Veirity Sense.

Before You Can Add an HRM…

The Select HRM button will be greyed out until two things happen:

  1. At least one Triton unit has been added to your account

  2. That unit is assigned to a swimmer who has accepted your team invite and verified their account

Once that’s done, you’re good to go.

Step 1: Select HRM

Once a swimmer is assigned to a unit, you’ll see the Select HRM button next to their name.

  • Tap it

  • If HRMs have already been added to your account, you’ll see them listed here

  • If not, tap Add HRM to scan for new ones

Step 2: Add a New HRM

Once you hit Add HRM, the app will start to scan for nearby devices.

Scan HRM

Make sure:

  • Bluetooth is on

  • The Polar Verity Sense is powered on (not dead or snoozing)

  • It’s within arm’s reach of your phone or tablet

When the scan starts:

  • Pick the HRM(s) you want to add

  • Tap Activate Devices to link them to your account

Each HRM will show up in your list with a default alias (based on the last digits of its serial number). That’s it—they’re now part of your account and ready to go.

If a swimmer has already been selected, the app will assign the HRM automatically. If not, you can assign one later.

What Happens During a Workout

Once your HRMs are added and assigned:

  • They’ll automatically connect when the swimmer shows up

  • No need to pair anything during workout setup

  • No way to swap to another swimmer’s device mid-session (which helps avoid mix-ups)

You’re All Set

That’s it. HRMs are now added, assigned, and ready to work without any mid-workout scrambling. Just one clean setup, and you’ll start seeing heart rate data flow in like a well-timed flip turn.
