How Does it Work?

Step One: Build Your Season

When you land on your Analysis page for the first time, you’ll see the “Let’s kick this season up a notch” wizard to help you set up your season quickly.Create a season iPad

Here’s how to get started:

1. Name Your Season. Choose a name that reflects how you plan your season. Think about your goals and the time frame that works best. Will you set it up for the full year, split it by Short Course vs. Long Course, or structure it by Fall, Winter, or Spring? A clear season structure can help you stay on track, whether you like to plan everything or keep it flexible.

2. Set Your Dates. After naming your season, enter the start and end dates that match your planning window. These dates set the overall timeline and organization for your season data.

You can set your season for a minimum of 5 weeks and a maximum of 4 years.

3. Enter Your Max Weekly Volume and Unit Preference. Set a maximum weekly volume goal for your peak week, specifying either meters or yards. This goal represents the highest expected volume during the season's peak week. Tracking your current weekly volume against this peak target lets you know if your team is on track, needs to ramp up, or should hold back.

4. Hit “Start Season” and Watch the Magic Begin. Once you’ve filled in your details and hit Start Season, the Seasonal Tracker creates a graph of your entire season, divided into weekly bars for easier viewing and access to weekly reports. The Seasonal Tracker organizes, visualizes, and updates as you go so you can focus on coaching while keeping an eye on the big picture.

Step 2: Track Seasonal Progress

The Seasonal Tracker graph is customizable to display the specific metrics you want to track. Use the “Showing” dropdown menu at the top right to switch between views, such as Volume, Stroke Types, Zoning, and Work-to-Rest Ratio.

If you’re new to TritonWear, your first week will be Data Gathering Week. During Week 1, the bar will display “Data Gathering” to collect initial data before analyzing trends and delivering insights.

The weekly report summarizes activities tracked from Sunday to Saturday of the previous week and will be available on the first day of the following week.

Step Three: Access Your Team Reports

We’ve made it easier for you to get to your reports faster while keeping the bigger picture in view. Before, you’d access weekly reports and diagnostics by toggling between them on the Analysis page. Now, with the updated layout, the Analysis page is home to the Seasonal Tracker, where you get a full-season overview alongside each week’s report. You can dive into weekly data through the bars, run diagnostics when needed, and always keep the season’s bigger picture in sight—all in one easy-to-access place for smoother tracking and decision-making.

Navigate Weekly Reports

Each bar on your Seasonal Tracker represents a week’s snapshot. Under each weekly bar, you’ll see a button labelled with the week number. Clicking this button takes you directly to that week’s report, where you’ll find a range of insights:

  • Team Recovery, Effort, and Skill:  View detailed data on how your team balanced recovery and effort, along with insights into skill development for the week.
Athlete Details Card: Get a weekly summary for each swimmer, helping you track individual progress and see who’s on track or may need adjustments.

Run a Team Diagnostic Report

The Team Diagnostic is all about giving you a snapshot of your team’s top strengths and weaknesses. It compares your swimmers’ skills to athletes around the world who are similar in speed, height, and gender, showing you how others are training to improve. Skills highlighted in red are the ones that need the most attention—pick three to focus on and prioritize for the month. This way, you’re always coaching with purpose, zeroing in on areas that can boost performance.

To run a Diagnostic Report, hit the “Run Team Diagnostic” button at the top of the graph.  Your monthly diagnostic report unlocks after 28 days of tracked workouts.

Why the 28-day wait? This gives the tracker enough time to gather data across different intensities, speeds, and intervals to provide accurate skill assessments.

If no swimmers have recorded workouts during that time, it will relock until there is data from the past 28 days and the previous 28-90 days to ensure sufficient information for accurate analysis.
