Groups in load monitoring provides the total data of all athletes in a given group.
Based on your team structure, you could have different types and levels of athletes whose workouts will vary, and would want to monitor separately. Using groups in load monitoring enables you to:
- Easily determine if each group of athletes is generally on track (load falls in the ACWR band) or if training adjustments need to be made.
- See projections and next week's target load for each group, so you can plan for the whole group
A word of caution: be careful when using group that you're not just looking at the group holistically, but still looking at each individual. The entire group as a whole may be in the green, but individual athletes may be on the cusp of red or yellow, and need additional attention.
