Why Is My Workout Missing?

Finished a workout, but don’t see it in your app or team reports? Don’t worry, your data likely isn’t lost. It just hasn’t uploaded yet. Here’s what’s happening and what you can do about it.

What Happens After You End A Workout (For Coaches)

Once all athlete tiles show Workout Complete, you'll be prompted to close the session. What happens next depends on your internet connection:

A. If You're Online

You’ll see:
“All wrapped up, uploading…”
A progress bar shows how much of the session has uploaded.

Upload time may vary based on:

  • Number of swimmers

  • Duration of the workout

  • Whether heart rate data was collected

Tip: Staying on Wi-Fi will speed this up.

Uploading continues in the background as long as the app remains open. Once complete, you'll see “Upload complete!”

B. If You're Offline

You’ll see:
“All wrapped up” (Offline)

This means the session is saved to your device but hasn’t uploaded to the cloud yet. Until you reconnect to the internet and reopen the app:

  • Swimmers won’t see the workout

  • Team reports won’t update

Important:

  • Don’t delete the app before syncing, it will erase any unsynced workouts.

  • Uploading begins automatically next time you open the app online.

How to Check Upload Status

When you return to your Team Feed, look at the ring around your profile picture:

  • A spinning ring = uploading in progress

  • A green checkmark = upload complete

Tap the ring for details about what’s still uploading.

Common Reasons a Workout Might Not Appear

If a workout seems to be missing:

  • Check that you’re on the same device you used to record the workout.

  • Make sure you're connected to the internet.

  • Look for the avatar ring to confirm syncing is still happening.

If there’s no ring and the workout never appears, it may not have recorded any data. This can happen if:

  • The units did not connect with your mobile device (phone or iPad) during the workout

  • The session ended before any activity was tracked

  • The swimmers turned their unit off before the workout ended on your phone or iPad

In these cases, the app may automatically discard the session to keep your feed clean.

Note for Swimmers

If you don’t see your workout, it may still be uploading from your coach’s device. You won’t see any upload progress ring around your avatar until:

  • your coach reconnects to the internet

  • and completes the upload from the device used to start the workout.

Once that happens, your data will upload automatically, and the workout will appear in your Feed.
